Edifício Bertha

On the corner of Araújo and General Jardim streets, Edifício Bertha is part of Vila Buarque’s lively urban landscape. Designed by Metro Arquitetos for Planta.Inc., the retrofit preserves the existing structure and adapts its spaces for new homes.

Ground-floor shops and shared spaces, including a rooftop pool, create new ways to enjoy the building and connect with the neighbourhood. Its active frontage brings life indoors closer to the street, in an area rich in architecture, culture and food.
